Admission in the academic session of 2026-27at Assam Agricultural University has begun for multiple UG, PG, and PhD programs.AAU conducts a separate entrance examination for admitting students to its undergraduate programs. Assam Agricultural University Eligibility Criteria: 

• Undergraduate: To pursue the Bachelor’s degree, students must have passed the class 12th examintaion in one sitting without any compartment test. Students are also required to pass the common university entrance test (CET 2026). Students’ age must be above 16 years.
• Postgraduate: For PG courses, students must have a minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. Pass the entrance examination of CET-PG 2026 to secure admission. A bachelor’s degree must be approved by the UGC. 
• PhD:  Selection for the PhD degree is through the ICAR, JRF, and NET entrance tests by NTA. Four years bachelors degree and 2 years of PG degree in the relevant field are required.

Selection of students at AAU is based on the university entrance examination, AAU CET 2026. Students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate courses are required to appear for the entrance examination. Students above 16 years of age are required to appear for the AAU exam in 2026.

Students must have completed their education with a science background. AAU entrance exam 2026 is generally 2 hours long. The exam is a completely computer-based test with objective-type questions.
